Concierge dentistry in Summerlin

Concierge Dentistry in Las Vegas

One patient at a time, start to finish, in a studio built for exactly that.

How this practice runs

Unhurried, private, one patient at a time.

Concierge dentistry here is not a package added to your visit. It is the shape of the practice: two hours held for a new patient, one patient in care at a time, and one doctor who carries the whole plan. What that looks like for you is arranged directly with the team.

In short

Concierge dentistry is private, unhurried dental care organized around one patient rather than a full schedule. At Form + Function Dental Aesthetics in Las Vegas, it is how the practice already runs: about two hours are reserved for every new patient, one patient is seen at a time from start to finish, a complimentary comfort menu comes with every appointment including a cleaning, and Dr. Kevin Tan carries the plan himself from the first photographs to the final appointment. Anything beyond that is designed around the individual patient and discussed directly with the team at (702) 805-1117.

What it means here

01

Two hours, held

About two hours are reserved for every new patient. That is enough time for a full history, photographs, low dose digital X-rays, a digital scan taken without impression material and a real conversation. Nothing about the first visit is compressed to make room for someone else.

02

One patient at a time

One patient is seen at a time, start to finish. Nobody is numbed and parked in a chair while the dentist works in another room, and your appointment is not competing with two others for the same pair of hands.

03

One doctor, one plan

Dr. Kevin Tan earned his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed the Kois Center curriculum. He examines you, plans the case, performs the work and follows it. Continuity is the whole point of a long cosmetic or airway case.

04

A studio, not a clinic

Dr. Kevin designed the space, the artwork and the brand himself, and Dr. Kevin designed this studio, its artwork and its brand himself, and the room is quiet on purpose, because a conversation about your teeth goes differently in a calm room. The complimentary comfort menu comes with every appointment, including a cleaning. It is never presented as an upgrade.

05

A day kept open

Same day appointments are held open for dental emergencies on the days the studio is open. If something breaks or starts hurting, the goal is to see you rather than to book you into next week.

06

Costs in writing first

You receive the full cost of your care in writing before treatment begins, and the team handles the insurance work. Payment plans and third party financing are reviewed at your consultation, before you have committed to anything.

Concierge dentistry is a way of running a practice, not a product added to your visit. At Form + Function Dental Aesthetics in Las Vegas, it describes what is already true of the studio on an ordinary Tuesday: two hours reserved for a new patient, one patient seen at a time, and one doctor who owns the plan from the first photographs to the final appointment.

What is concierge dentistry?

Concierge dentistry is private, unhurried dental care organized around a single patient rather than a full schedule. At our Summerlin studio that means one patient is seen at a time, start to finish, so nobody sits numbed in a chair while the dentist works in another room. Your appointment is not shortened to make room for the next patient.

The term gets used loosely in dentistry, and it often means an ordinary practice with a fee attached to it. We use it in the plain sense: the time, the privacy and the continuity are the service. Dr. Kevin examines you, plans the case, performs the work and follows it afterward, so your history never has to be explained to someone new.

Who is concierge dentistry for?

Concierge dentistry suits patients whose schedule, privacy or case complexity makes ordinary dental scheduling a poor fit. Four kinds of people tend to find their way to us.

  • People with demanding schedules, who would rather give up one long morning than five short ones and cannot absorb a visit that runs late because the doctor is in another room.
  • People who want privacy. Because one patient is in care at a time, the conversation about your face and your smile is not held within earshot of anyone else.
  • People in the middle of a long cosmetic or airway case, where continuity matters more than convenience: the same doctor, the same records, the same plan.
  • People who were rushed, dismissed or hurt at a dental office and quietly stopped going. The pace is usually what changes their mind.

None of this requires a particular diagnosis. If you recognize yourself in any of the four, say so when you call, and the team will take it into account when your appointment is scheduled.

What happens at a first visit?

About two hours are reserved for every new patient, and that single fact answers most of what people ask about a first visit. Two hours is enough for a proper history, photographs, a digital scan taken without impression material and the imaging your case calls for. Low dose digital X-rays and, where it is indicated, a large view CBCT that records the head and neck in three dimensions, including the airway, are taken when the image will change a decision about your care.

There is also time to talk, which is the part most schedules quietly delete. Dr. Kevin designed this studio, its artwork and its brand himself, and he built it to feel like a spa rather than a clinic, because a conversation about your teeth goes differently in a calm room.

Why does seeing one patient at a time matter?

Seeing one patient at a time removes two of the most common complaints about a dental visit: waiting, and being hurried. When a doctor is moving between several rooms, attention is divided and the schedule sets the pace. Here there is no other room.

It changes what is possible clinically, not just how the visit feels. Time is what allows another photograph, a bite remeasured before anything is committed to, or a plan reconsidered in the chair rather than at the next appointment. The Kois Center curriculum Dr. Kevin completed is built on methodical diagnosis, and that needs hours.

Same day appointments are held open for dental emergencies. The studio is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and closed Friday through Sunday, so call as early in the day as you can.

What is included with every appointment?

The comfort menu is complimentary with every appointment, including a cleaning. It is not an upgrade, it is not reserved for cosmetic cases, and nobody will try to sell it to you.

  • Grace and Stella eye patches
  • Apple AirPods Max noise canceling headphones
  • Aromatherapy
  • Evian and San Pellegrino water
  • Wallaby medical grade weighted blankets
  • Aesop bath amenities

Cleanings are done with an air polishing system: warm air, water and a fine powder, with minimal scraping. Hospital grade sterilization runs behind all of it, with every instrument individually tracked and packaged.

How is a concierge arrangement set up?

It is arranged directly with the team. Everything on this page is included for every patient we see: two hours for a new exam, one patient at a time, same day emergency appointments held open, the comfort menu with every visit, and costs in writing before treatment starts. If you need something arranged beyond that, call the studio at (702) 805-1117 and ask what is possible.

What does concierge dentistry cost, and how does insurance work?

We do not publish a price for concierge dentistry. The comfort menu is complimentary with every appointment, the time and the privacy are simply how the practice runs, and anything beyond that is discussed with the team directly. Treatment is quoted case by case: you receive the full cost in writing before anything begins, and cosmetic consultations are $50. No other honest number belongs on a website, because what a case costs depends on what the examination finds.

We accept most PPO dental insurance plans and are in network with a select few. The team handles the insurance work and will tell you plainly what to expect, though no dental office can promise what an insurance company will ultimately pay, and we will not pretend otherwise. Payment plans and third party financing are reviewed at your consultation. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $50 fee, which protects the two hours held for the next patient.

What concierge dentistry does not mean here

It does not mean we do everything ourselves. Form + Function is a restorative and airway focused practice. Orthodontic braces, oral surgery including wisdom tooth removal and the surgical placement of implant fixtures, root canal treatment by an endodontist, periodontal surgery and dentistry for very young children are referred to a trusted network of Las Vegas providers. Dr. Kevin restores implants and holds the plan around them, and he refers the surgical part on purpose. Sending you to the right person is part of the service.

It does not mean we diagnose what a physician should. A medical diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea is made by a sleep physician. We screen, record overnight oxygen data with a SleepStat BLE pulse oximeter, image the airway and treat with dental appliances that do not require CPAP, coordinating with your physician.

And it does not mean a guaranteed result. What a case will take, how long it will hold and what it will cost depend on your teeth, your bite, your gums, your habits and how the work is maintained. Those answers come from an examination, not from a website. Dr. Kevin will tell you at your consultation.

Personalized. Refined. Luxurious. Innovative.

Common questions

Concierge Dentistry, answered.

Do you offer concierge services?

Yes. The unhurried, single patient care described on this page is standard for everyone we treat. Anything further is built around the individual patient, so call the team at (702) 805-1117 to discuss what is available.

How long is a first appointment?

About two hours are reserved for every new patient. That time covers a full history, photographs, low dose digital X-rays, a digital scan and an unhurried conversation with Dr. Kevin about what he found and what he recommends.

Will I be the only patient there?

One patient is seen at a time, start to finish. You will not be numbed and left waiting while the dentist attends to someone in another room, and your visit is not conducted within earshot of other patients.

Is there a membership fee for concierge dentistry?

The two hours, the single patient scheduling and the complimentary comfort menu are simply how the practice runs for every patient. Any arrangement beyond that is designed around the individual and discussed directly with the team, so please call and ask what is available.

Do concierge patients get priority for an urgent appointment?

Same day appointments are held open for dental emergencies. The studio is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so call (702) 805-1117 as early in the day as you can.

How does insurance work for concierge care?

We accept most PPO dental insurance plans and are in network with a select few. The team handles the insurance work and gives you the full cost of your care in writing before treatment begins, though no office can promise in advance what a plan will pay.

Where are you located?

Form + Function Dental Aesthetics is at 4205 S. Grand Canyon Dr. #19, Las Vegas, NV 89147, in Summerlin next to Target at the Grand Canyon Shoppes. We are open Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Reviews

The room, the visit and the dentistry are all of a piece.

Patients seldom mention just one of the three. What comes up again and again is that the studio, the experience and the clinical care were all held to the same standard, and that each one makes more sense in the company of the other two.

5 stars all the way, from the beautiful clinic, VIP treatment, the in depth consultation and attention to detail, it was quite an experience. I usually dread going to the dentist, but this experience was just on another level.

Not sure where to start?

That is what the first visit is for. Two hours are reserved for it, and nothing is recommended before Dr. Kevin has seen what is actually going on.
